Village Library Ribbon Cutting!

On Saturday, Lantz got to celebrate the grand opening of the Village Library in Broadway, Virginia at the locations ribbon cutting ceremony.

Renovation of the old Ace Hardware store began in September of 2012 and finished in January. Larry Hedrick, Project Manager and John Long, Vice President of Estimating, were both able to attend the ceremony.

As reported in the Daily New Record, plans to move the library, which was founded in 1975, originated in 2007, and were helped along by private fundraising and donations. The move increased the library’s space from 1,700 to 5,000 square feet.

The increase in space made room for a new computer lounge, magazine/children’s reading area and, of course, more books.

“Once the construction phase of the project began, everything fell into place very quickly and was completed ahead of schedule,” said Lois Jones, Massanutten Regional Library Director. “Project Manager, Larry Hedrick commented that ‘the stars had just lined up perfectly.’”

Congratulations again on your new home!
