In June’s “Touring Our Towns” segment, we feature a city we’ve proudly partnered with for 60 years—the Friendly City of Harrisonburg!
Vibrant and diverse, Harrisonburg is home to James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University, and serves as Virginia’s first Culinary District!
With re-opening efforts underway, the city’s government, agencies, businesses, faith communities, and residents are working together to safely support our local establishments, local economy, and local education systems. Commencements have even been creatively adapted to honor all of our local graduates!
Throughout Harrisonburg, further community support is evident through efforts such as donating meals to frontline workers, organizing community convoys, and providing access to free COVID tests.
Through these actions and many others, may Harrisonburg’s residents safely continue positive community engagement in the beloved Friendly City!
