About This Project
Broadway, VA
This 5.5 acre park project located along Turner Avenue in the town of Broadway required clearing of trees, brush, and other site work prior to construction of arched wooden personnel bridge across Linville Creek, picnic pavilion, parking lot, landscaping, and installation of water fountain. Octagonal wooden trash containers were also constructed for use throughout the park.
The Town of Broadway used a $200,000 grant from the state Department of Conservation it received in 2005 to cover half of the project cost; the rest was paid for through town dollars, including reserve funds.
