October is Careers in Construction Month! To recognize and show support to future construction leaders, we posted four short videos on our Lantz Construction Facebook page that each featured a different Massanutten Technical Center construction trade program. Likes, comments, and shares on Facebook each counted as a vote to determine the most popular video with the reward of a Pizza Party for the winning class!
Posted on four consecutive days throughout the week of October 18-22, 2021, the videos were produced by the students showcased MTC classes in Architecture and Interior Design, Carpentry, Welding, and Electricity.
Nine MTC students can be seen in action demonstrating skills they’ve learned and speaking on camera about why they selected their individual trades and how their MTC training will benefit them in their future careers.
The students’ passion and enthusiasm about their current career trajectories easily come through in the videos.
After the video contest ended at midnight on October 24th and the votes were tallied, the Pizza Party was awarded to the Architecture and Interior Design class!
