James Madison University Installs 120-foot Wind Turbine.

The newest addition to the James Madison University campus, a 120-foot wind turbine, has the capability of producing 2,000 kilowatt-hours of energy in one year, which is the amount of energy necessary to power an average-sized house.

Lantz Construction partnered with the university as the general contractor to install the turbine, solar panels and utility building. The wind turbine is located in the C-10 parking lot across from the East Campus Library. You can view more pictures of the project at Lantz’s  Facebook page.
