This single-story, enclosed gabled STAR pre-engineered metal building with two-door service bay (1,525 sf) and lean-to canopy (688 sf) serves as a maintenance facility for Mint Springs Valley Park, a 520-acre park located twenty miles west of Charlottesville in Albemarle County.
To ensure superior efficiency, the structure was constructed with a 6” thick MetlSpan CFR insulated metal panel standing seam roof and 4” thick CF Flute insulated metal wall panel. The building envelope included two Series 596 extra heavy-duty insulated steel sectional doors, and preassembled personnel doors and windows, which were also supplied by STAR.
The custom-sized Insulview windows by Wintech are a specialty product designed specifically for installation directly into an insulated metal wall panel system. These self-framing/flashing units require no supplemental framing.
Interior areas include an office, restroom, and lounge, and the full length exterior canopy provides additional storage space for equipment and materials.
