About This Project

Broadway, VA – 30,255 sf

This extensive renovation of John C. Myers Elementary School resulted in a total facelift to the almost 60 year-old building. Work began in March 2019 and was completed in 14 phases in order to minimize, or eliminate, any disruption to the students, staff and administration of the school.

Each phase involved a complete gutting followed by installation of new mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems along with new lighting, ceilings, flooring and cabinetry.  Outdated spaces were reconfigured to accommodate modern educational needs and the commercial kitchen was fully updated.  Additions included a loading dock in the back of the school and a corridor connector in the courtyard.

Through the coordinated team efforts of various firms and subcontractors, all improvements were completed in summer 2020, prior to the start of the school year.
