About This Project
This was a Design-Build project by Lantz, with Mark Byerly serving as the Engineer of Record. At 8,000 square feet, this pre-engineered metal building will be used as a body shop for Alliance Vehicle Solutions (AVS), in Staunton, VA. AVS specializes in professional vehicle upfitting and custom electrical systems for public safety and commercial fleets.
The building consists of two main areas. The administrative area includes an office and employee breakroom, with a resinous flooring system and central heating and air. The shop area includes 10 service bays, compressed air, electric, and domestic reels available for each bay. The shop’s HVAC system is a combination of natural gas unit heaters, infrared tube heater, with intake and exhaust fans/louvers at each end. To maximize space within the shop, there is a 2nd level structural steel mezzanine with removable railing for parts storage and forklift access.
Located on the property of their current Staunton location, this new pre-engineered metal building efficiently addresses their need for additional space as the volume of public safety, municipal, and commercial vehicles and fleets they service continues to steadily grow.
