These interior photos of the new, larger space for Augusta County Parks & Recreation (11,942 sq. ft.) represent Phase 1 of this project. Phase 2 is currently underway to renovate space for the County Attorney’s office and the Human Resources Department (4,226 sq. ft.), and a Phase 3 expansion of the Emergency Communications Center (5,171 sq. ft.) will immediately follow.
For Phase 1, the large covered exterior dock at the building’s south end was closed in and converted into office space for Parks & Rec. Following that department’s move into the new space, renovations began on the old Parks & Rec office to better accommodate it for the needs of the County Attorney’s office and HR personnel. The County Attorney’s office staff will then vacate the space currently shared with ECC, and the relinquished area will be renovated as part of the ECC expansion.
