Gene’s start in the construction industry began more than three decades ago in an entry level position as a low-boy equipment hauler. Throughout his long career Gene transitioned into various and increasingly challenging roles including that of equipment operator, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager and director of operations.

In his spare time Gene participates in civic organizations, is a member of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, and serves as an honorary board member for the Shenandoah Valley Coalition for Christ, which is a non-profit organization based in Shenandoah County.

With a love for music since his childhood, Gene is the lead vocalist for the popular Southern Gospel group “PromisedLand Quartet.” Gene also enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Gene and his wife, Amy, along with their three sons, Chad, Trevor, & Zach, reside in Luray and attend Antioch Church of the Brethren in Woodstock.
