Gene’s start in the construction industry began more than three decades ago in an entry level position as a low-boy equipment hauler. Throughout his long career, Gene transitioned into various and increasingly challenging roles including that of equipment operator, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, and director of operations, prior to joining Lantz in 2016.
Gene is a member of Antioch Covenant Brethren Church in Woodstock and serves as an honorary board member for the Shenandoah Valley Coalition for Christ, which is a non-profit organization based in Shenandoah County.
Gene also enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Gene and his wife, Amy, reside in Luray and have three sons and five grandchildren.
