This new organic poultry processing/packaging facility for Farmer Focus is located on a 65-acre campus and includes production, administrative, and support areas.
The processing area features several packaging lines, two spiral freezers, a cooler, cold dock for incoming/outgoing product, and dry dock for incoming packaging materials.
Other spaces include a dry warehouse area for material storage, battery charger area for fork trucks, maintenance shop, air compressor and vacuum pump room, chemical storage room, box mezzanine, refrigeration compressor room, water and fire pump rooms, and main electrical room.
The facility was built to include the infrastructure for future expansion and also features an administrative office area, training room, employee locker room, and breakroom.
Founded as Shenandoah Valley Organic (SVO) in 2014 and renamed in 2020, Farmer Focus is committed to 100% organic and sustainable farming. This second Harrisonburg plant created more than 100 new jobs and will continue to aid in the organization’s efforts to promote and protect generational family farms.
