Rockingham Recreation Center
The main gym inside this new indoor recreation facility was designed for Rockingham County to host high school and collegiate track events and features a 200-meter indoor track, sand pits, pole vault pit, and throwing equipment in addition to three multipurpose basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts. A fourth multipurpose court is located in the center’s auxiliary gym. The poured athletic synthetic surface for both gyms meets requirements for competitive indoor track events and allows for multiple uses of the courts.
The Rockingham Rec Center also includes a spectator mezzanine, office space for the Parks and Rec staff, multipurpose classrooms, concessions, and warming kitchen/food preparation space.
