Susan had more than 25 years of experience in office administration/management and customer service when she joined Team Lantz in July 2016.
As a USAF Security Police Law Enforcement Specialist (1987-1990), Susan was stationed on Guam and at Andrews Air Force Base (now Joint Base Andrews) where one of her duties was to provide armed security for POTUS and other high-level dignitaries. In 2002 she and her husband Dan moved to Virginia from their home state of Maryland.
She attended Towson University for 1.5 years and has an associate’s degree from the Community College of Baltimore County. In 2016, Susan completed the 10-month Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Program along with fellow Lantz’rs Jeff Deavers and Arianna Williams. She is a past member of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society, and a past board member and recording secretary for Fort Harrison, Inc. (a non-profit in care of historic Daniel Harrison House in Dayton, VA).
Her hobbies include historical and genealogical research, antiquing, Civil War reenacting, writing, photography, old movies, visiting historic sites, and enjoying the beautiful Shenandoah Valley countryside.
