Marketing Coordinator & Executive Assistant
Susan had more than 25 years in office administration/management and customer service when she became a Lantz team member in July 2016. A former Air Force Security Police Law Enforcement Specialist, Susan was stationed on Guam (1987-1988) and at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland (1988-1990) where one of her duties was to provide armed security for POTUS and other dignitaries.
She and her husband Dan, both from Maryland, moved to Rockingham County in 2002. Since the summer of 2003 they have lived in a circa 1787 stone house that was built by George Chrisman, a gentleman farmer who also served as a militia captain during the American Revolution. Susan is a member of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society, a past board member and recording secretary for Fort Harrison, Inc. (a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of the circa 1749 Daniel Harrison House in Dayton, VA), and a graduate of the 2015-2016 Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Program.
In her spare time Susan enjoys doing historical research of the old stone house and its early occupants and spending time with Dan at home (their favorite vacation spot). Other hobbies include writing poetry and taking advantage of the many photo ops supplied by the couple's horses, chickens, cats, and especially her pet goat/BFF Clementine.
